Competency-based Clinical Supervision
At Joelle Rabow Maletis LLC, we practice a competency and skill-based, solution-focused, and intern-centered clinical supervision.
According to the APA, competency-based supervision is defined as –
A meta theoretical approach that explicitly identifies the knowledge, skills and attitudes that comprise clinical competencies, informs learning strategies and evaluation procedures, and meets criterion-referenced competence standards consistent with evidence-based practices (regulations), and the local/cultural clinical setting.
The JRM Approach
Dr. Maletis, M.A.Ed., MA, LMFT conducts competency-based clinical supervision founded on the knowledge, skills, values, and experience she has gained in working with –

- Legal and ethical parameters
